Aidan Plummer

Madden Fellow

Aidan Plummer is a second-year graduate student pursuing an M.A. in Art History and Museum Studies at the University of Denver. He received his B.A. in Art with a minor in Art History from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he spent many years as a practicing artist specializing in sculpture and photography. Moving to Denver to pursue higher education was inspired by a desire to understand art's greater impact on society and to explore the institutions that make the practice of art possible. His current research focuses on postmodern and early contemporary Japanese sculpture, specifically the Mono-ha movement of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Additionally, he works as a gallery associate at K Contemporary in Denver, Colorado.

Sheridan Posschelle

Madden Fellow

Originally growing up in Miami, Florida, Sheridan moved to NYC to pursue a dual B.A. in Art History and Graphic Design from Marymount Manhattan College. After college, she continued her interest in art through working at a small family-owned gallery in Whitefish, Montana. Her experiences in New York and Montana cemented her love of American Art and her intent to pursue a career that would allow her to further explore the genre. Denver was an obvious choice for Sheridan's next stop, and pursuing her master's with the support of the Madden Fellowship has opened up opportunities to get a sense of the work involved with such an important and varied collection of artworks.
